Restaurant.com: Exchange Migration
The Challenge
As Restaurant.com skyrocketed in growth, it had a strong need for scalable solutions that would improve employee productivity, establish a secure messaging environment and provide hassle-free upgrades and system enhancements. To leverage its investment in the Business Productivity Online Suite, Restaurant.com wanted to transition from its unreliable hosted Exchange environment to Microsoft Exchange Online.
The Solution
After conducting a review of the company’s current messaging environment, Neudesic collaborated with Restaurant.com to design and develop a migration plan that would leverage its investment in BPOS and transition the company to Microsoft Exchange Online. Neudesic then took a lead role in migrating Restaurant.com’s 270 mailboxes to the new Web-based system. Since then, the company has added more than 100 new mailboxes to Neudesic’s scalable solution.

This project gives Restaurant.com a reliable, stable and scalable e-mail tool that the company can count on during its current growth cycle. The new Web-based system allows Restaurant.com to transition to a highly available Exchange-hosted environment that will increase employee productivity via spam management, create a highly secure messaging environment managed through a simplified web interface, accurately predict costs, and provide hassle-free upgrades and system enhancements.
